Rain rain go away, instead make it a snowy day?

Well let's see how todays suckage ranked up there on the sucking scale.

Last night, 6 inches of snow. YAY!

This morning, a half in of ice in the form of freezing rain. I had to cancel my 1st appointment of the day. Kinda YAY.

Rain for the rest of the day. A foot of water on I-91 in places. Water up to the center hubs of my Suby (never mind the VW bug)in the parking lot. Mixed with slush, ice, and snow. Definitely not YAY!

This is all supposed to repeat itself on Sunday too. Not good for the ski area! ARG!

As I sit here doing field work...let me sum up most of my job for you:

Stupidity should be punished...

Seriously, people really have a lack of common sense nowadays. They expect to hit a button or two and have everything magically happen for them. And if it doesn't, well it couldn't possibly be the result of something you did, can it? Noo...it must be the technology. Always blame the technology.

That being said, keep this in mind. It is one of my favorite lines to use with people.

"Computers can only do what people tell them to do."

Yes, it may appear that your computer is randomly spawning new popups and IE windows. But it is only doing it because you installed a program that lets it do that. (spyware). Perhaps if you talked to your 18 year old son about the porn sites he is going to this problem would go away?
