Ken Block

I recently came across a "rally" video of sorts featuring Subaru Rally Team USA's driver Ken Block. Ken is the new guy in town in the rally, but he certainly is not an unknown name in extreme sports.

Ken actually co-founded DC shoes about 14 years ago, and if you are a snowboarder, skateboarder, or motocross ride you certainly know the DC logo. It's good to have Ken a part of the Subaru USA Rally Team, the man has talent!

Ken took the Bronze at the X Games 12 over in LA, and placed 2nd overall in RANC. (Rally America National Championship). Last year he took Silver in X Games 13 and placed 3rd in the RANC. Not bad for someone who just signed with Subaru in 2006.

This video below features a Gymkhana course. Although not really a "rally" per se, a Gymkhana course is sort of like a car obstacle course. You are required to perform controlled power slides, skids, drifting, and abrupt direction changes in the shortest amount of time possible.

Personally I am not a fan of those drifting competitions, but this video is the exception to that rule. It really demonstrates talent for controlled multi-directional driving.
